Introducing “The Friends of The Warriors”
WE’RE INVITING YOU & FRIENDS TO JOIN US!
The mission of the Friends of The Warriors Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps (FOTWA) is to assist The Warriors Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps Inc. in achieving and maintaining a strong community presence, awareness and overall organizational success through excellence.
The role of this booster group is to “boost” our organization brands in a positive manner. The purpose of FOTWA is to advance the best interests of the Warriors Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps Inc., Community based programs and activities by executing plans by participating and providing support, as requested by the Drum Corps Director and our Program Committee. We know and understand it takes a village to maintain and sustain a thriving organization that requires support and funding beyond that provided by any and all sponsorships .
FOTWA, will play a major role as a part of our non-profit corporation, by providing the assistance of in our fundraising initiatives , logistical, communications, and promotional support for the Performance Corps, current, developing programs and our Program Committee.
Specific objectives include:
1. Provide volunteers for Drum Corps and Program Committee events.
2. Promote ticket sales of the our key fundraising events, performances, and major functions i.e. The Annual Gala & Awards Dinner, Battle in the Boroughs Mini Drum & Bugle Corps Open I&E Competition and Championship and Drums in The Valley.
3. Support the The Music Explosion outdoor Music Series and The Solution All Age Fitness Program that assists the fundraising efforts for the purchase/repair of instruments/equipment, supplies, music instruction and uniform enrichments.
